Meet Dr Evan Vlassopoulos
Dr Evan Vlassopoulos graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. He practiced in Stradbroke Dental in Kew for ten years and at Beaconsfield Dental for eight years. He was then entrusted with the care of the patients at Matthew Speed Dental, by the principal, when he moved to Queensland. There he worked with Leanne Chao, a highly experienced oral health therapist, and performed detailed cosmetic and restorative dentistry, building an excellent reputation, and receiving many referrals from local specialists. With the closure of that practice, many of their patients have followed them to Collins Street Dental as well as our sister practice, Q Dental, to ensure they continue to receive the high standard of care that has been provided to them.
Always looking to grow his skills, to better care for his patients, Dr Evan is currently completing his diploma in clear aligner orthodontics with the City of London Dental School, under the mentorship of such esteemed orthodontists as Dr Derek Mahony and Professor Tarek El-Bialy (Canada). He will proceed to a Masters degree in aligners, and has a further interest in prevention of sleep and breathing disorders in children and adults.
He enjoys unravelling the mysteries of dental disease and identifies and manages the underlying causes of dental problems so that he prevents them from reoccurring. He also enjoys the artistry and science of dentistry – using white fillings, porcelain crowns, blending colours and tints, to recreate teeth as nature intended.
Evan derives fulfillment from his relationships with his patients, sharing stories and laughter, and his ability to provide them with gentle care and make them smile.
